Criteria

Portfolio category
For a series of images without a narrative or storyline, similar to an exhibition catalogue or monograph. The focus is on the technical skill of the photography.

Storytelling category
For a book that aims to tell a story or present a creative visual narrative.

How to enter

Entry is free
Submit a physical book and completed Entry Form to this address before the deadline
There is a limit of one book per category
There is no limit on the book's subject, length, size or format
There is no limit on the date the photographs were taken or the date the book was designed
There is no limit on how the book is printed or produced

Judging criteria

A panel of judges who are expert in [curating and editing images, making or desiging photo books, or judging camera club print competition judging] will assess the books for excellence and fitness-for-purpose in:

Photography
Selection, pairing and sequencing of images
Design, layout and typography
Paper choice, size, cover material and finishes

Additional criteria for Storytelling category:

Originality of concept and design
Engaging visual narrative

Book returns
