How to Make a book
|
| There are a number of ways to create a Momento photobook: |
- Use our free DIY composition software, or
- Find a pro-designer in the Momento Service Directory, or
- Supply a PDF file to our specifications

| 1. DIY photobook design |
| Creating a photobook yourself using Momento's DIY software can take 5 minutes or 5 hours depending on how much time you would like to spend on it. The patent-pending Aesthetic Composition Engine (ACE) makes designing the pages a breeze as it automatically creates great page layouts for you, which you can then adjust and fine-tune as much as you like, or you can simply select another ACE layout option. |

| 2. Find a designer in the Momento Service Directory |
| If you would rather focus on your business of taking photographs or organizing events but would still like to create a photobook for your clients, you can use Momento's Service Directory lists to find professionals who can help you prepare or create a book. Search the directory to find the most appropriate help and contact them directly. |

| 3. Supply a PDF to our specifications |
| Should you prefer to use your existing design software to create your photobooks, we can still print and bind them for you. To submit a PDF file you must ensure that it is compatible with our PDF Specifications and pay a $20 file handling fee. Download the specifications from the Resources page once you have logged in. |

| To submit a book for printing |
- Momento simply prints, binds and delivers your book, we do not review or edit your file. To submit a book for printing the best approach is:
- Proof your book and gain client approval by reviewing the high-res preview PDF file
- Submit your Master Book File (MBF) via broadband or mail it to Momento on CD-R
- We upload the book to your bookshelf, create a free flipbook and send you email notification
- Login to view, order, delete or send an invite to your flipbook via the Your Books page
- NOTE: Momento's print day will change as of 20 July 2006. All books should be submitted and paid for by Thursday 5pm to make the weekly Monday print run, and for the fastest turnaround time.

| To order & pay for a book |
- Login and link to the Your Books page
- Select the book and use the 'Order This Book' button to complete the online order form
- Pay with credit card or select Other Payment if you have been approved for a credit account
- Note: the price you pay is set according to your Membership category
- All orders are delivered within 21 days and priority delivery within 10 days is available at cost

| Making a book is simple and the beauty of Momento's software is that you only need to design a book layout once to print it at any size in the same format, and as many times as you would like, there is no need to spend time re-exporting files or laying out new books. Enjoy! |
